This o-ring, part number 021 105 279, is the seal between the flywheel or flex plate and the crankshaft on every 72-92 Type 2 Bus & Vanagon engine. This seal goes in the groove on the rear of the flywheel. It fits 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992 models.
