This valve adjuster, part number 022 109 451, is for a 73-83 Type 2 Bus & Vanagon type 4 air-cooled and 86-91 2.1L Vanagon waterboxer engine. Since the rocker arms are interchangable between all waterboxer engines, they might be in a 1.9L if it has been rebuilt. For accurate valve opening, it's good to have new ones when yours are mangled or mushroomed. It fits 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983 (air-cooled), 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992 models.
