Description

This CV joint kit, part number 251 598 101, is for every Vanagon. Each rear axle requires 2 of these and each Syncro (4wd) front axle 1 of them. We don't like the boots and hardware that comes with the pre-packaged kits - the boots fail prematurely and the bolts are shorter than the factory ones and the kits are missing the serrated (schnorr) washers. Because of this we are building our own kit with GKN joints, Rockford boots, the correct bolts and the washers. As well, we don't sell the complete new shaft due to a high rate of failure we experienced in our shop. It fits 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992 models.
