This bushing, part number 251 711 207D, supports the front shift rod on every Vanagon with a manual transmission from VIN 24-D-051 581 and on. It also supports the rear shift rod on every Vanagon with a manual transmission from VIN 24-D-051 581 to 24-H-113 601. It fits 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992 models.

This does not work with the shift rod bushing boots. If you would like to add the boots to seal the bushing from the elements you need to also use the 87-92 shift bushing instead of this one.
