This product is no longer available. We are looking for a suitable alternative. While there is an aftermarket regulator available, we have seen a high failure rate and will not sell it. If the plastic guides are worn or broken, repair your regulator with this guide kit, otherwise we suggest trying to locate a good used original VW unit.

This regulator, part number 251 837 501A, is inside the left (driver) side door and is the mechanism which drives the window up and down when you turn the crank on every Vanagon with manual windows. It fits 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992 models.
