This climate control cable, part number 252 711 647, operates the flaps for the windshield defroster on every Vanagon with a waterboxer or diesel engine. It fits 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992 models.

The original one is marked with one green and one yellow paint stripe and is listed as 635mm
