This exhaust test port cap, part number 4A0 131 737A, is for every Vanagon with a gasoline engine. It screws onto the port on the exhaust pipe just before the catalytic converter. It fits 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992 models.
